Method Of Preparation of Yogendra Ras

विशुद्धं रससिन्दूरं तदर्द्धं शुद्धहाटकम् ।
तत्समं कान्तलौहञ्च तत्समं चाभ्रमेव च ॥
विशुद्धं मौक्तिकं चैव वङ्गञ्च तत्समं मतम् ।
कुमारिकारसैर्भाव्यं धान्यराशौ दिनत्रयम् ॥
ततो रक्तिद्वयमितां वटीं कुर्याद्विचक्षणः ।

Bhaishajya Ratnavali Vatavyadhivikara Verse No. 156-157

  1. Take 2 parts of purified Rasa Sindoor (a traditional Ayurvedic compound made of purified mercury and sulphur).
  2. Take 1 part each of Swarna Bhasma (Gold), Lauha Bhasma (Iron), Abhrak Bhasma (Mica), Vanga Bhasma (Tin), and purified Mukta Bhasma (Pearl).
  3. Place all of these fine mineral-metallic powders into a Khalva Yantra (stone mortar and pestle).
  4. Pour in fresh Aloe vera juice (Kumari) and perform Mardan (thorough grinding/trituration) until the mixture blends perfectly.
  5. Shape the smoothly ground mixture into a large pellet or ball.
  6. Wrap this pellet securely in fresh Eranda (Ricinus communis / Castor) leaves.
  7. Bury the wrapped pellet deep inside a heap of dry paddy grains (Dhanya / Oryza sativa) and leave it undisturbed for 3 days.
  8. On the fourth day, take the pellet out of the grain heap, add a touch of fresh Aloe vera juice, and grind it one final time until smooth.
  9. Roll the final paste into uniform medicinal tablets, making sure each tablet weighs exactly 2 Ratti (approximately 250 mg).

Anupana (Adjuvants) According to Condition

  1. For Pitta disorders such as burning sensation, palpitations, and insomnia: administered with Triphala and Mishri.

  3. In cardiac disorders: administer with Arjuna (Terminalia arjuna) bark decoction.
  4. For improving strength and vitality: administer with milk, condensed milk, or milk fat (ghee).
  5. In Vata disorders such as facial palsy, torticollis, nerve weakness, and paralysis: administered with Rason Ghrita and Mishri or Eranda (Ricinus communis) root juice.
  6. Traditionally, individuals with a lean body constitution may take this medicine with milk at bedtime, under medical supervision.
  7. If taken along with allopathic medicines, it is generally advisable to maintain a gap of at least 30 minutes between the two, unless otherwise directed by a healthcare professional.
