The signs of autism usually can be seen by the 2-3 years of age. The earliest autism can be diagnosed when the child is of 18 months by age. Presence of certain signs and symptoms that may indicate the autism are:

6 Months

  • No or few big smiles
  • No joyful, warm or engaging expressions
  • No or limited eye contact

9 Months

  • No or little sound sharing, facial expression or smiles.

12 Months

  • No or little continuous murmuring sound

  • No or little response to name

16 Months

  • No or very few sounds.

24 Months

  • Very few meaningful or may be no two-word phrases.
