Paratesticular pleomorphic leiomyosarcoma is a malignant tumour that arises from the abnormal smooth muscles that surround the testis, spermatic cord, or epididymis. It is seen as a firm, enlarged scrotal swelling. As it is the rarest type of tumor, it may sometimes be misdiagnosed as a benign tumor. Its differentiation requires histopathological studies. Causes

Ayurvedic Overview

Perineural pleomorphic leiomyosarcoma can be correlated with mamsarbuda, which is a hard, persistent mass that arises from mamsa dhatu (muscle tissue). When there is an imbalance of doshas, they disrupt rakta (blood) and mamsa (muscle) dhatu, which further leads to a disturbed balance of agni (digestive fire) and ama(toxins) formation. Accumulated ama (toxins) causes strotoavrodh (blockage of channels), which results in swelling that appears as a hard mass-like lump, which is circular, immovable, and arises within the muscle tissues and grows steadily over time.
