Introduction

Ramsay Hunt explained the eighth nerve features associated with close proximity of geniculate ganglion to the vestibulocochlear nerve. Ramsay Hunt Syndrome is also known as herpes zoster oticus, nervus intermedius neuralgia, geniculate neuralgia, facial nerve palsy by herpes zoster infection. Causes
- Ramsay Hunt Syndrome is caused by herpes zoster virus. This virus also causes chickenpox.
