Home Remedies for Whitening of Teeth
1. Rock Salt and Roasted Alum
As rock salt has natural preservatives and properties of alum can do wonders for whitening of teeth.
How to use it?
Take some quantity of rock salt and mix it with powdered roasted alum and the mixture of it should be rubbed gently on the teeth, once daily for 45 days.
2. Lime Peel
Lemon contains a high quantity of vitamin-C and it has bleaching agents too so it is helpful in giving you the shiny teeth.
How to use it?
Have some Lime peel, before going to bed make a paste of its peel and apply it on teeth but make sure that after applying it you should not eat or drink anything. Lime peel helps you to fight with the microorganisms during your sleep. Try this for more than 45 days for satisfactory results.
3. Sodium Bicarbonate
Daily use of sodium bicarbonate on teeth is a good practice as it can neutralize bacterial acids in the mouth and avoid the decay of microbes in the mouth.
How to use it?
Even you can use it instead of toothpaste, but if you are habitual of using toothpaste then after brushing your teeth, add sodium bicarbonate and some hydrogen peroxide with some peppermint oil. Try this experiment for sixty days and see a positive result.
4. Amalaki (Phyllanthus Emblica )
Amalaki contains a large quantity of vitamin-C, hence it’s very useful in teeth disorders.
How to apply it?
Take some powder of Amalaki and rub it on teeth, keep it for 25 to 30 minutes then rinse with water, it helps you to restore your whiteness.
5. Strawberries and Tomato
Strawberries and tomatoes, both are a good sources of vitamin-c, hence they have properties to fight with the plaque and helps to maintain your teeth whitening and shining.

8. Banana Peel
As banana is the storehouse of manganese, magnesium, potassium and all these minerals help in removing stains from teeth.
How to apply it?
Take the dried peel of banana in powder form and rub it gently over your teeth for 2 to 5 minutes and let them remain for 10 minutes, afterward rinse them with water and do this once daily for 12 days without break.
9. Orange Peel
As orange peel contains glucarate, limonene, pectin, and soluble fiber, this helps to remove stains from teeth, thus gives you a nice smile.
How to apply it?
Orange has high vitamin-C contents and is also very good for the enamel of teeth. Take some dried orange peel and make powder, mix it with some olive oil and rub it on teeth gently for 2 minutes. Keep it on for 5 to 8 minutes after that rinse it with water, repeat it for 15 days, once a day. It helps you to give a good result if the condition is (teeth are pale yellowish) then continue it for 30 days
10. Fruits and Vegetables High in Water Content
Eating raw fruits with high water content at the end of the meal is a good habit, if taken regularly it has also very good results on teeth as it helps in more saliva production and also helps to remove food particles that are stuck in your teeth.
11. Good Hygiene Habits
Try to adopt good hygiene practices, Brush your teeth after each meal, if not possible then at least for twice a day, in the morning and evening, Use a good quality brush and after a recommended period, changing of brush is necessary, use the brush while brushing the teeth in upward to downward motion. 1. Banyan( Ficus religiosa )
Banyan tree has astringent properties, which makes teeth whiter and gums healthier.

Aerial roots of the banyan tree are used for cleaning teeth, a person suffering from pale teeth can use it once in a day. It is recommended to use it for 20 to 30 days for pale teeth.
2. Neem ( Azadirachta indica)

Pyorrhea and bleeding of gums are treated very effectively with the help of dried leaves of Tulsi and it is very effective for whitening teeth and helps make enamel of teeth healthy. Just take some powder made by the dried Tulsi leaves, add few drops of olive oil and apply the paste made by this combination on the teeth, once daily for 15 to 20 days.
